What's New in AstraSync 4.0?

The following improvements have been made in AstraSync 4.0 over the AstraSync 3.1 release

New: Support for HTML

You can now choose to display message content in HTML or Plain Text format.

New: Hotlinks in messages

AstraSync now supports hotlinks in messages for telephone numbers, email addresses and website addresses. Hotlinks work in HTML and Plan Text modes.

New: Meeting Requests

You can now view meeting requests and decide whether to accept or decline the request.

New: Message Flags and Priority

AstraSync now supports the display and setting of message Flags. The message Priority is also displayed.

New: Message List Multi-select

You can now select multiple messages in the message list and can perform a single operation on those messages (for example Move). Two modes are supported: Group-select to select a list of adjacent messages and Multi-select to select non-adjacent messages.

Improved: Attachment Support

You can now attach local files to send in outbound messages. You can now open message attachments directly without having to save the file to local storage first. Opening attachments works with the native application such as Word-To-Go.

Improved: Performance

AstraSync now performs better because the application will delay a number of synchronization transactions (such as setting the Read status of a message) until the application is idle.

Improved: User Interface

All of the AstraSync screens have been updated with a brand new modern interface. The AstraSync configuration screens are now more consistent with the native BlackBerry Options screens.

Other Enhancements

  • You can now choose your own ringtone for your new message Alert.
  • AstraSync automatically resets the email, calendar or contact data when major configuration changes are made (such as changing from Plain Text to HTML email format).
